Description

Join fellow Hoofer SNS members on a trip to Granite Peak in Wausau, Wisconsin! NO MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED! MUST BE A UW MADISON STUDENT, FACULTY, OR STAFF!

Pick up will be around 7 am, and we will leave the mountain around 5 pm.

Trip Costs

Cost for a lift ticket is $55

Cost for a rental package is $25

Cost for transportation is $10

Covid Protocols

  • Must present Badger Badge and Student ID to trip leader prior to entering the vehicle. 
  • Must wear a mask inside all vehicles (an actual mask, not just a neck gaiter used for skiing)

SIGN-UPS WILL CLOSE MONDAY MARCH 8TH at 11:59pm (Granite Peak needs 5 days to generate lift tickets and waivers for everyone).

Driving or Travel Details
Local Trips will use a combination on fleet vehicles and personal vehicles to drive to the ski hill. Safety plan will be in effect during times spent inside vehicles.

Food and Equipment Information
Participants are responsible for own food and equipment (jacket, gloves, snowpants etc.) Rentals are available at the ski hill.
Safety plan information to be shared with attendees:
Participants will be required to wear a mask (an actual mask not a neck gaiter used for skiing) inside the vehicles at all times and will be required to maintain a separation of 6 feet during the duration of the time spent at the hill in addition to adhering to the ski hill's COVID-19 guidelines.
Sanitation plan for any equipment used during the event:
Vehicles will be wiped down with disinfectant spray before and after the trips, trip leaders will agree to do/enforce this as apart of their training.
Trip Cancellation, Reschedule, and Refund Information
Cancellations must be made 10 days in advance for a refund. In the case that we cannot reach the 12 person minimum for the trip, it will be canceled and all participants will be refunded.
